Study of deformation structures maps in metals under tension

The paper considers the regularities of macroscopic inhomogeneity plastic flow during uniaxial tension flat samples Fe-Cr-Ni 2 mm thick. Their axis was oriented along rolling direction. average grain size 12.5 ± 3 mm. curves alloy had long stages linear strain hardening over entire test temperature range 180 K < T 297 K. For experimental study deformation, we used method accurately reconstructing fields displacement vectors and calculating components distortion tensor using speckle photography with increments total between exposures 0.001. field as a whole sample loading is inhomogeneous both in directions values; some areas, nonmonotonically change relative to axis. It has been established that K, localized at all process. appearance a′-martensite phase deformation under leads mechanical characteristics, work coefficient, localization parameters. maps structures are analyzed form spatial distributions tensor: local elongations, narrowings, shifts rotations. non-linear nature coefficient transverse from level acting stresses established. general quantitative parameters evolution indicate connection this process self-organization defective subsystem deformable medium.
